Book jacket and interior spreads for Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison: The Making of a Masterpiece. In addition to design, I also scanned and adjusted all photographs, which were sent to me by the photographer, the late, great Jim Marshall.
Book jacket and interior spreads for Hank Williams: Snapshots from the Lost Highway. In addition to design, I also scanned and adjusted most of the photographs and objects, which were provided to me by the publisher. These included handwritten lyrics, composition books, and other rare items from Hank's estate.
Book jacket and interior spreads for Perfect Sound Forever: The Story of Pavement. The publisher needed an approved design and print-ready files for the printer in about 30 days for this complete package. I was given dozens of photographs, printed ephemera, handwritten notes, and various doodads for scanning and inclusion in the book. These included guitarist Scott Kannberg's personal collection of band riders, tour calendars, flyers, backstage passes, and other unique items. In addition to these images, I also used scores of my handwritten notes, doodles, and lyrics, as well as scans of random halftones from a newspaper for texture.
Book interior spreads for The Dark Side of the Moon: The Making of the Pink Floyd Masterpiece. In addition to design, I also scanned and adjusted all of the photographs, which were provided to me by the publisher. The jacket (not shown here) was designed by none other than Storm Thorgerson, credited as The Men of Mystery on the jacket flap.
